Boracay Day 1

I initially planned for a HongKong trip for my birthday but the route turned to central Visayas--Boracay! I asked my college friend who will celebrate her birthday as well 3days after mine. We started to plan the itinerary back in December 2011. We booked a flight via Philippine Airlines after Christmas, luckily we got it on a promo fare! Thanks PAL! :)

We stayed at Tans Guesthouse as recommended in most blogs and forums. True enough, they have clean rooms, good location (along station 2) on a budget friendly price.

Room per night is Php 2,000. They even have 1,000-1,500 I think per night.

We left Manila around 12pm and touchdown in Boracay around 3pm. We are both first timer in Boracay, so we just stroll along the beach and do people watching.

I longed wish to see Boracay sand castles which I used to see on many pictures, blogs and post cards. Unfortunately, I've learned that sand castles are build on special events  only since most locals are using it to get donations from the tourists, which is supposed to be free of charge.

I've read from some blogs that this Smoke Resto along D'mall offers good food on a cheap price. Note that even foreigners are eager to eat here.

I ordered Garlic Chicken (tastes like Teriyaki boy) for only Php100 :)

We are so full and tired afterwards so we went back to Tans to get some rest and sleep for the next day.

Day 1 Expenses

Taxi to NAIA 2 - 200
Jollibee for breakfast - 100
Terminal fee - 200
Smoke Resto for dinner - 100
Absolute mineral water - 20
